This is one of my favorite Boston and Sandwich pieces. Original purpose has been suggested that it is either a master salt, or possibly a 'nosegay' vase (look that one up at dictionary.com). It stands 3 1/4" tall, and 3 3/4" top diameter. It is a very heavy piece of canary flint glass and other than honest wear on the bottom, is without blemish. Yes, it glows brilliantly under a UV blacklight. The Boston and Sandwich museum has one of these in their collection. It was named by Clark Brown.
