Richards & Hartley
Pattern No. 500

Richards & Hartley
Pattern No. 500
Description : Richards & Hartley called this pattern No. 500. It is more commonly known as CUPID AND VENUS, aka: Guardian Angel or Minerva. It is circa 1875 for the original pattern, but the color was probably made during the ABC period of 1882-1884ish. The most recent version of Jenks/Reilly (pg 124-125) mention: 'scant production in amber, blue and vaseline'. Other than a bread plate, I have never seen another piece in vaseline glass. The milk pitcher is 1 quart volume. Height is approx. 7 1/2" (sitting on a top shelf and I held a ruler up to it).
