Toy Lemonade Set by Hobbs, Brockunier & Co., DEW DROP

Description	:	The mini-pitcher is the 'size 0' pitcher, the smallest of 5 sizes. The height of the pitcher is exactly 4" and this one is vaseline opalescent. The little 'tumblers' were sold as tumblers with the child's lemonade set, and also cross-marketed as toothpick holders. They measure 2 1/2" tall. For some unknown reason, some of the tumblers have hobnails on the bottom, and some are polished smooth. In this photo, three of the tumblers have smooth bottoms, one has hobnails on the bottom. The little tumblers usually sell for about $75 each, as toothpick collectors, vaseline glass collectors, and Hobbs DEW DROP collectors all keep an eye out for them. The tumblers are bright canary (vaseline). I have only seen one picture of a vaseline opalescent toy tumbler, shown in Heacock's 1000 TOOTHPICKS book. Heacock's comment was, "The existence of Hobbs' Hobnail toothpicks can now be confirmed." (he gave a value of $300). I have also previously owned a satin finish canary toy tumbler.
