Westmoreland peach opal Corinth vase with a

Westmoreland peach opal Corinth vase with a "Plunger" foot.
Description : Many people may not understand what the term "Plunger" foot is so I will explain.
It has to do with the shape of the base of the vase. A Plunger foot has a sort of a double layered or tiered base if that makes sense. The picture says it allot better than I can if that makes sense.
Plunger feet are tpically found on Funeral size vases. A funeral size vase is refered to the size of the base of the vase, typically a minimum of 5 inches or so.
Examples would be Northwood Tree Trunk vases and Fenton Rustic vases come in funeral sizes and yes, they were used by florists for flower arrangements around the casket in the early part of the 20th century. Photo Donated To Gallery By Scott
